In June 2018, Richard Davies and Faye Stevenson-Davies, a couple from Wales, won £1 million on EuroMillions’ Millionaire Maker game. They didn’t disappear to a private island. They gifted cars to people who needed them, donated a minibus to their local rugby team, and helped friends and family.
Then, on November 26, 2025 — more than seven years later — it happened again.
A Lucky Dip ticket, earned by matching just two numbers in an earlier draw, turned into a second £1 million win, this time on the UK’s Lotto.
Statisticians estimate the odds of the same couple winning two separate million-pound jackpots like this are more than 24 trillion to one.
“We knew the odds of it happening again were outrageous, but we’re proof that if you believe anything is possible,” said Stevenson-Davies, 43, a mental health practitioner.
Remarkably, neither of them has stopped working. Stevenson-Davies still works as a mental health counselor and volunteer cook. Davies, 49, still works seven days a week as a courier.
Asked what they’ll do with the second windfall, Davies said: “Everyone keeps asking what we’ll do, but we genuinely have no idea at present.”
